Founder & Director
Dr. Emily Harris, MS, RD, NBC-HWC, RYT-500, is the founder and director of Helen Wellness Center, where she oversees integrative wellness services. With over 15 years of experience in integrative health, Dr. Harris earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University and her Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Illinois Chicago. She is a Dietitian Nutritionist licensed by Illinois state, holding the Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, allowing her to provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling. Additionally, she is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and a certified yoga instructor (RYT-500) through Yoga Alliance, achieving advanced training and teaching experience to incorporate mindful movement into her integrative approach.
Before founding Helen Wellness Center, Dr. Harris served as a Clinical Nutrition Consultant, where she led interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized wellness programs for diverse patient populations. She maintains memberships with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Society for Nutrition. Driven by a passion to empower women in midlife to achieve holistic well-being, she combines evidence-based nutritional guidance with mindfulness practices, creating a comprehensive model of care that addresses physical, emotional, and social dimensions of health.
